Posting title Aboriginal Internship Program - Law
Position profile Our Corporate Services team is seeking driven and resourceful individuals to join them for a summer internship. This position will provide you with an excellent learning opportunity within your field of study, working closely with leaders within CN on key projects. We are currently looking for an Aboriginal student to assist the Law department in providing the highest quality, cost effective and pro-active legal services to CN in order to protect and promote CN's people, business and reputation.

Responsibilities
  • Legal research and drafting of memos
  • Help prepare for and attend hearings with Counsel
  • Review contractual agreements
  • Assist with the preparation of the Law newsletter (gather subjects, help with the drafting and revision of the texts)
  • Assist Counsel on various projects

The candidate must:
  • Be enrolled in a university based JD, Ll.B., B.C.L., or equivalent program.
  • Self-identify as an Aboriginal person.

Compensation:
  • We offer a competitive salary; $18.75/hr
  • Interns travelling to Montreal will either be provided with accommodations or, should they have special requirements, a housing allowance may be granted instead
