Posting title Senior Domain Architect - Telecom
Position profile The Senior Domain Architect Telecom will be accountable of the management and evolution of the telecom and telephony architecture ensuring it delivers the right capabilities to support CN business objectives. He/She will also be responsible to lead and deliver assessments, directions, strategies and roadmaps on different subjects in his/her area of responsibility. This position therefore requires a broad range of technical skills blended with business, people and communication skills.

In his/her duties the candidate will define the future state for the Telecom and telephony capabilities and jointly develops with the I&T (Infrastructure & Telecom) teams the roadmap for delivery. She/He will also lead a telecom architecture team composed of key architecture and I&T representatives responsible to analyse industry trends and develop telecom architecture standards, patterns, guidelines and governance. The candidate will also work with different partners and stakeholders (Enterprise Architecture, Solution architecture, delivery, I&T and Application Management Teams) to help them in getting the best from the telecom and telephony capabilities.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with a network and/or Telecommunications specialization.
  • Minimum 10+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to Architecture work (preferably at the Domain or Enterprise Level)
  • Proven experience as a telecom architect in the context of a large enterprise supporting mission critical services and/or Telco-grade services.
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to work autonomously but with strong leadership and team skills
  • Effective communicator in working with Associates and Management to develop relationships, establish trust and build credibility, which includes facilitation, presentation, correspondence, document preparation, service skills and requirement/information gathering.
  • Excellent problem solving, priority assessment, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Experience in leading telecom and telephony strategies in a context of large enterprise
  • Experience and knowledge in complex networks architecture and definition of telecom capability models.
  • Excellent knowledge and real life experience with core networking capabilities (DNS, DHCP, VPN, MPLS, network security services, Management tools, network performance & monitoring tools, LAN, WLAN, WAN, WWAN, MAN)
  • Good understanding of key advanced network services (IPS/IDS, Wan Optimization, Application Delivery Controller, Quality of Service, VoIP and Unified Communication) and concepts (Software- Defined Networking, Network convergence) and how a large organization can get benefit of them.
  • Able to evaluate telecom/telephony impacts, opportunity and architecture evolution related to key trends like Cloud computing, Internet of Things / Information and operational technology convergence, Service oriented Architecture (SOA), Real-time enterprise communication, Mobility, Virtualization
