 Humboldt is located in the heart of Saskatchewan and consists of a population of over 6,500 and contains a regional population of over 30,000, the City of Humboldt provides a perfect place to live, work and play. Humboldt is conveniently located between three major centres in Saskatchewan: Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Regina.

Between 2008 – 2012, the population rose from 5,792 to 6,644, a 15% increase.  The median age of the population is 45.
Humboldt experiences a humid continental climate.  The weather in Humboldt is generally dry and sunny, where summer daytime temperatures range from 20C to 35C and winter temperatures from 5C to - 30C.

Education - Daycare centers, Schools and College
Humboldt is a great place to raise a family and has a host of different educational institutions to provide opportunities for everybody in the family. There is one pre-school, three elementary schools and one high school.  St. Peter’s College is located 10 km east of Humboldt which offers university programs in Arts and Science, Business, Kinesiology and Agriculture.  Carlton Trail Regional College offers programs in Business and Management, Education, Health and Safety, the Trades and various other programs
Health Care
The new Humboldt District Health Centre has 7,458 square meters of floor space and contains 34 inpatient beds.  Services include:
Acute care: Ambulance services, emergency and ambulatory care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, surgery, and palliative care.
Community Health: Home care, public health nursing, community nutrition, health promotion, public health inspection, dental health education, and pharmacy support.
Therapies: Acquired brain injury care, mental health, speech language services, and addictions services.
Administration: Management, the hospital foundation, volunteer services and chapel.
Sports and Leisure 
There are numerous activities for the whole family including library, six parks, sprinkler parks, seven 18-hole golf courses in the area, mountain biking and a new trail system being developed, as well as bowling, mini-golf, skateboarding, paintball, hockey, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, curling, fishing, hunting, camping.  
The Uniplex multi-purpose arena has the following facilities:  ice-skating rink, pool, fitness centre, etc.
